My training in Sensorimotor psychotherapy was in the somatic processing and resolution of traumatic activation and attachment/developmental wounds. I saw clients using somatic processing and bodywork (CMT) and specialized in work with survivors of sexual abuse and other trauma. I worked with PTSD, anxiety disorders, self-harm behaviors, addiction and dissociative disorders. When I returned to school to complete my masters in counseling, I did so with 5+ years of experience using a somatic psychotherapy method in my work with bodywork clients.
